UPDATE ON FIRST CYCLE OF THE 2024 FOREIGN PHARMACY GRADUATE ORIENTATION PROGRAMME (FPGOP)

The first cycle of 2024 FPGOP is scheduled to be held from April 21 to May 31, 2024, at two (2) PCN designated Centres namely: Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Bayero University, Kano, Kano State (North) and Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Benin, Benin City, Edo State (South).

The FPGOP is of two (2) categories; the Regular (6 weeks duration) and Online (3 weeks duration) programs. The Regular program is for Pharmacy Graduates with less than five (5) years post-qualification experience while the Online program is for pharmacy graduates with more than five (5) years of post-qualification practice experience and current Annual license in their country of training or residence.

Registration has Commenced and Interested Participants are Requested to Apply by Attaching Relevant Documents Namely:

  • A duly completed Application Form;
  • O’level result (with five (5) credits passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Biology and Chemistry);
  • Two (2) passport-size photographs;
  • Degree Certificate (Documents such as Attestation Letter, Letter of Completion of Course, To Whom It May Concern letter, or any other related document is not
  • Acceptable in lieu of Degree); Birth Certificate (certified copy) or Age Declaration;
  • Original copy of a sealed Academic Transcript (or a notarized unsealed original copy);
  • Certificate of Registration or Annual license to practice (where applicable);
  • Evidence of payment

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED:

  • All Foreign-Trained graduates must present Nigerian International Passport showing:
  • Entry visa to the country of study;
  • Date of first departure from Nigeria or first date of entry into the country of study;
  • Date of return to Nigeria after the period of study;
  • Data page(s) of the passport(s) used during period of study;
  • Where more than one International Passport was used during the period of study, candidates should upload data pages of the International Passports.
  • Residence Permit/Visa covering the whole period of study
  • Intending applicants without the relevant documents as listed above NEED not apply for this program. Only Original transcripts and notarized photocopies of other documents.
  • Inclusive of the application form shall be accepted.
  • Applicants for the regular (6-week) Programme are to note that there will be a written/oral eligibility interview. Furthermore, candidates cleared for the eligibility interview are required to come to the interview with the following:
  • A copy of Curriculum;
  • A copy of the student’s Project;
  • Graduating list

THE REGISTRATION FEE:

  • Regular – $900
  • Online – $1500 (the exchange rate is N1000 per Dollar).

Participants are to indicate on their Application Form their Centre of Choice for the Orientation Programme.

Online participants are expected to join the regular participants at their respective Centers of choice on Monday, May 20, 2024.

The deadline for submission/uploading of all Application Forms and relevant documents is Friday, April 05, 2024. Late submission of an application attracts a payment of 10% of the total fee.

Applicants with incomplete documents shall not be shortlisted for the program.

Applicants are advised to consult the PCN website or the nearest PCN Office for further inquiries. The PCN Guideline on the Orientation Programmed is available for sale at PCN Offices nationwide.
