In the light of intelligence received on recent developments on the COVID-19 pandemic in our locality, all Radiographers practicing in Nigeria are strongly advised to treat all chest x-rays and chest CT scans requests with suspicion.
In your departments, insist on PPEs for all radiographers coming in contact with patients.
Directors and Chief Radiographers are once more called upon to, as a matter of top priority, liaise with hospital administrations to make PPEs available to all radiographer.
Minimum of which is manageable is an N95 mask. This time more than ever, we are advised to wear short-sleeved scrubs which should go to the laundry after each shift.
We wish us all a safe nation, and we pray this ends very soon.
Stay safe!!
