The Nigerian Navy invites qualified and interested candidates to apply for the Basic Training School Batch 38 recruitment exercise. This is a golden opportunity to serve your country and build a rewarding career in the Navy. Application is completely free of charge.

General Information

• Applications must be submitted online at https://www.joinnigeriannavy.navy.mil.ng.
• Only one valid application per applicant is allowed. Multiple applications will lead to disqualification.
• After completing the online application, applicants must print the following documents:
• Acknowledgment Form
• Parent/Guardian Consent Form
• Local Government Attestation Form (to be signed by a military officer of the rank of Commander in the Nigerian Navy or equivalent in the Armed Forces of Nigeria, or by a Local Government Chairman)
• Guarantor's Certification Form

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

• Be Nigerian citizens by birth
• Possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN)
• Be at least 1.68m tall for males and 1.65m for females
• Be medically, psychologically, and physically fit
• Have no prior criminal convictions

Guidelines for Applicants

Applicants for professions allied to medicine must:

• Possess an ND from a recognized training institution in Nigeria
• Hold a valid practicing license

All applicants must be proficient in English. Inability to communicate in basic English will result in disqualification at any stage of the recruitment process.

Important Dates and Notes

• Online registration opens from 2 October to 31 October 2025.
• Recruitment examination will be held on 29 November 2025 at designated centers nationwide.
• All registration and recruitment processes are free. Do not make any payments to anyone.
• The Attestation Form must include:
• Passport photograph of the applicant
• Photocopy of the signee’s Driver’s License, International Passport, or National ID Card
• Authentication of the applicant’s passport photograph by the signee
• Successful applicants will undergo basic military training and be enlisted into the Nigerian Navy as Ordinary Seamen.
