3 Locations; Akwa Ibom, Cross River & Lagos

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Serves as drug logistics focal person for the CART team- Scheduling ART,STIs and OIs medication orders for clients
• Obtaining and documenting clinical and demographic patient information,
• Serve as a member of the clinical team who are saddled with CART initiation
• Support the OSS Lead pharmacist to ensure adequate and timely supply of ARVs and other medications to the MART team
• Responsible for overall coordination and processing of new Community ART client medication orders and reorders during mobile refills or enrolment sessions. These includes verifying/re verifying new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system and CRRIFF
• Provide counseling on ART side effects and identification and reporting of adverse drug reaction
• Provide necessary support to CART team members on identification and reporting of drug side effects and adverse drug reaction
• Ensure proper documentation of drug utilization using stipulated tools and timely submission of pharmacy reports
• Provide adherence counselling, client tracking and retention activities
• Support care and support interventions at the OSS and community level
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B Pharm ) or Pharm D
• Registration with the Pharmacist Council of Nigeria
• A minimum of two years’ experience working as a hospital based pharmacist or HIV/AIDS settings
• Must have an above average knowledge of and experience with HIV care and treatment medication

Language Skills:

• Excellent oral and written English communication skills
• Knowledge of Local Language preferred.

Computer Skills:

• Medium- level computer skills in MS Excel, Access and Office
• Other software routinely used by Heartland Alliance
