We are a growing, vibrant organization that provides excellent client-centered and need based preventive health care services, such as vaccination, health screening, school health services and health awareness programs. We seek a highly innovative and entrepreneurial individual with industry experience in the health sector to serve as a chief medical officer. Hence, we are looking to hire a chief medical officer who demonstrates these same values to join our team.

The candidate will supervise our health team in the diagnostics, vaccination, and school clinics units amongst others. He/she will interphase with team members, management, and clients (individual and corporate) to achieve our goals of providing the best preventive and primary care services. The chief medical officer will play a key role in agenda setting, quality assurance, administration, and client engagement amongst other functions. 

Qualifications

Job qualifications include the following:

  • 3-5 years of managerial experience in a preventive health care organization, health maintenance organization, large diagnostics, or related health settings 
  •  A Medical degree with a current practicing license
  • A Master’s degree in public health, health management, or related field preferred
  • Diploma degree in family medicine is a plus

  • Demonstrable skills in managing diverse teams 
  • Time management skills with the capability to prioritize among competing requests in a fluctuating work environment
  • Demonstrates initiative and problem-solving ability, including the ability to gather information, identify resources and imagine alternatives with limited direction
  • Consistently demonstrates a positive, "can-do" attitude with high personal work standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (must be good at making presentations and vetting documents for grammar and clarity) 
  • Ability to represent the organization with the utmost professionalism and ability to build strong relationships inside and outside the company.
  • Strong negotiating skills and the ability to clarify and distill complex issues to a variety of stakeholders
  • Cognizant and respectful of cultural differences in communication approach
  • Strong clinical skills with flair for patient consultation
  • Basic familiarity with the Nigerian health systems and indices.
