Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified Candidates to fill the vacancies in the following Posts in the Edo State Civil Service. Candidates for the posts must possess the required qualifications, experience and skills specified below. 

1a. CONSULTANT, (CONMESS 5) GL. 15: 

Requirements: 

A Degree in Medicine, registrable with Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), from a recognized Institution; possession of Part II Final Examination Certificate of the Fellowship of the National Post-Graduate Medical College of Nigeria or its equivalent in the Speciality. OR 

1b. PRINCIPAL MEDICAL OFFICER GRADE II, (CONMESS 5) GL. 15

Requirements: 

A Degree in Medicine, registrable with Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), from a recognized Institution plus at least six years' post-registration cognate experience. 

2a. CONSULTANT SPECIAL GRADE II, (CONMESS 6) GL. 16: 

Requirements: 

A Degree in Medicine, registrable with Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), from a recognized Institution; possession of Part II Final Examination Certificate of the Fellowship of the National Post-Graduate Medical College of Nigeria or its equivalent in the Speciality plus at least four years post-fellowship-qualification cognate experience. OR

2b. PRINCIPAL MEDICAL OFFICER GRADE I, (CONMESS 6) GL 16 

Requirements: 

A Degree in Medicine, registrable with Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), from a recognized Institution plus at least ten years' post-registration cognate experience. 

3a. CONSULTANT SPECIAL GRADE I, (CONMESS 7) GL. 17: 

Requirements: 

A Degree in Medicine, registrable with Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), from a recognized Institution; possession of Part II Final Examination Certificate of the Fellowship of the National Post-Graduate Medical College of Nigeria or its equivalent in the Speciality plus at least eight years post-fellowship-qualification cognate experience. OR 

3b. CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER, (CONMESS 7) GL 17 

Requirements:

A Degree in Medicine, registrable with Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), from a recognized Institution plus at least fourteen years' post-registration cognate experience. 

4. SCIENTIFIC OFFICER GRADE II, (HEALTH) GL 08 

Requirements: 

A good Bachelor's Degree (or its equivalent) in Medical and appropriate Natural Sciences.

The eligibility requirements: 

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 

Candidates must possess the minimum Academic requirements for each role as stated below: 

Degree (Second Class Lower), HND (Lower Credit), only Graduates of 2013 to date and must not be more than thirty-five 35 years of age are eligible to apply for GL. 08 Positions while Candidates applying for Senior Positions must not be more than fifty (50) years of age as at the time of application. Candidates must also have completed the mandatory NYSC Program (where applicable) and be computer literate, with good interpersonal/leadership skills, knowledge of Research and can work effectively in teams.
