Suitably qualified candidates are hereby invited to submit applications for appointment into various academic positions at the Federal University Otuoke, Bayelsa State. The positions are limited to the following:

1. Nursing Science

Ph.D., M.Sc., B.MLS in Medical Laboratory Science or sub-fields of Medical Laboratory Science plus registration with MLSCN

Qualification

Ph.D., M.Sc., B.Sc. in Anatomy or sub-fields of Anatomy

Qualification

Ph.D., M.Sc., B.Sc. in Physiology or sub-fields of Physiology.

REQUIREMENTS

Candidates for the positions listed must above must satisfy the following criteria as applicable: 

  1. Professor Candidates should possess a Ph.D. degree in the appropriate discipline with at least twelve (12) years of unbroken teaching and research experience in a University system, and at least two years as an Associate Professor. Candidates must have published at least twenty-eight (28) scholarly publications in both local and international journal, as proof of specialization in core areas plus registration with relevant professional bodies where applicable. Candidates must also have sufficient administrative experience. Overall, candidate must have led in substantial numbers of research papers presented for assessment.
  2. Reader Ph.D. degree in the appropriate discipline, with nine (9) years of unbroken teaching and research experience in a University system or cognate exposure with demonstrable evidence of scholarly achievement, Twenty-one (21) scholarly publications, with at least two (2) years as a Senior Lecturer. Candidates must also have sufficient administrative experience. Overall, candidate must have led in substantial numbers of research papers presented for assessment.
  3. Senior Lecturer Ph.D degree in the appropriate discipline, with five (5) years teaching and research experience in a University plus ten (10) scholarly publications, with at least two (2) years as a Lecturer 1. Candidates must also have sufficient administrative experience.
  4. Lecturer I Ph.D. degree in the appropriate discipline, with three (3) years teaching and research experience in a University plus three (3) publications, with at least two (2) years as a Lecturer II or Ph.D with professional registration as applicable.
  5. Lecturer II Ph.D degree in the appropriate discipline or Master’s degree in the appropriate discipline with three (3) years teaching and research experience in a University plus one (1) journal publications, or at least two (2) years as an Assistant Lecturer or M.Sc plus professional registration.
  6. Assistant Lecturer Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in the appropriate discipline, evidence of registration into Ph.D in any reputable University is an advantage.
  7. Graduate Assistant Candidates should possess a good honours degree (first or second class upper) in the appropriate discipline obtained from the Federal University Otuoke or any recognized University. Evidence of enrollment into aMasters Programme in any reputable University is an advantage
