Introduction

The Federal University, Dutsin-ma is located in Dutsin-ma Local government Area of Katsina State, which ts located in the North-Western region of Nigeria. The establishment of the Federal University Dutsin-ma, along with several others, is in line with the Federal Government of Nigeria's determination to improve the nation’s knowledge base and expand access to education, which is a defining factor in the establishment of institutions of learning in Nigeria. The overall goal of the establishment was to tackle the challenges of inadequate space for eligible university applicants.

The General Public is hereby notified that the University Management has declared the position of Director of University Health Services vacant. Accordingly, applications are invited from suitably qualified and interested candidates to fill the vacant position.

Qualification(s):

• Must possess an MBBS Degree from a recognised institution;
• Must be a registered member of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN);
• Must possess NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate or Letter of Exclusion where applicable;
• Appropriate computer literacy is mandatory;
• Must have a minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience as a medical practitioner.

Function(s):

• The Director, of University Health Services, is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor in providing Professional and administrative leadership at the University Health Centre(s).
• The Director performs the duties of the Chief Medical Director, recommends the appointment of staff, and oversees their deployments. Additionally, the Director initiates and makes recommendations for manpower development, provides community services in accordance with the town-and-gown relationship, and undertakes other duties as may be assigned.

Duration:

The tenure of the Director is for a single term of five (5S) years, non-renewable on Salary Scale CONMESS 7,
