As part of the effort of the administration of His Excellency, the Governor of Katsina State Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD, CON to reform the health sector for optimum performance and enhancement of service delivery, the Management of College of Health Sciences and Technology hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Provost of the College.

A. Job Description/Responsibility:

The Provost is the Chief Academic, Administrative and Accounting Officer of the College and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Institution. Successful candidate will provide strategic leadership towards achieving the vision and mission of the College.

B. Requirements:

• i. Must have a first Degree from a duly accredited Institution plus a Master's Degree and Doctorate Degree in any of the following discipline: Community Health, Pharmacy, Radiography, Dental Sciences, Health Information Management, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Environmental Health Sciences and Nutrition & Dietetics;
• ii. Must be a Lecturer with not less than eighteen years' cognate experience (five years' experience as Chief Lecturer);
• iii. Must be an indigene of Katsina State not exceeding 55 years of age;
• iv. Must be duly registered with relevant regulatory body.

C. Tenure and Conditions of Service:

The appointment shall be for a period of four years' renewable for second term of another four years based on satisfactory performance. The remuneration and conditions of service are as applicable to the position of Provost in similar Institutions in the State.

D. Method of Application and Submission:

Interested and qualified candidates are required to submit the following documents in sealed envelopes marked "Application for the Post of Provost" at the top left corner and addressed to The Registrar, Katsina State College of Health Sciences and Technology or to the Office of the Head of Civil Service, Governor's Office, Katsina on or before **Wednesday, 5th August, 2026**.

Suitable candidates shall submit ten (10) copies of hand written application, CV and photocopy of credentials;

Applicants should request their referees to forward confidential reports on their behalf directly to the Registrar of the College.
