Qualifications

Professor (CONUASS 07)

• Ph.D. or Fellowship of National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or equivalent
• Minimum of 25 scientific journal articles (6 in impact factor-rated journals)
• Supervised at least 1 Ph.D. and 3 Masters students or 5 Masters students
• Must have been Associate Professor for 3 years or Senior Lecturer for 5 years

Reader / Associate Professor (CONUASS 06)

• Ph.D. or Fellowship of National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or equivalent
• Minimum of 20 journal articles (3 in impact factor-rated journals)
• Must have been Senior Lecturer and supervised at least 2 Masters students

Senior Lecturer (CONUASS 05)

• Ph.D. or Fellowship from a recognized institution
• 5 years post-qualification experience
• Minimum of 10 publications (2 in impact factor journals)

Lecturer I (CONUASS 04)

• Ph.D., Masters, or Fellowship
• 3 years (Ph.D.) or 5 years (M.Sc.) teaching experience
• Minimum of 4 publications (2 as first/corresponding author)

Lecturer II (CONUASS 03)

• Second-class upper division degree with Masters (CGPA above 4.0)
• For Basic Medical Sciences: Ph.D. or 3 years post-qualification experience
• Assistant Lecturer (CONUASS 02)
• Second-class upper division degree with Masters (CGPA above 4.0)
• NYSC discharge or exemption certificate
• Candidates with first degree in 5/6-year programs may apply if willing to register for Masters
