Job Summary

• We're seeking a detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our medical team.
• The role of the Medical Laboratory Scientist is crucial, in performing an array of tests and analyses that contribute to accurate patient diagnosis and treatment.
• As a valued member of our healthcare organization you'll work in a cutting-edge laboratory collaborate with healthcare professionals and adhere to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory tests and analyses on samples like blood, urine and tissue to aid in disease diagnosis, treatment and prevention.
• Collect patient samples while ensuring labelling and handling to preserve sample integrity.
• Adhere to quality control and quality assurance protocols by maintaining equipment and performing calibration as required.
• Interpret test results accurately preparing reports for healthcare providers.
• Operate, maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment effectively.
• Follow all safety regulations and compliance standards, including infection control measures.
• Implement sound housekeeping procedures, And work effectively with others as a member of the team to ensure a safe working environment in accordance with safety protocols

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field. (Master's degree is a plus).
• Relevant certification or licensure as a Medical Laboratory Scientist.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, instruments, and quality control.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in conducting tests and reporting results.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with healthcare providers and team members.
• Proficiency in the operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
• Adherence to ethical and safety standards in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
