The Nigeria French Language Village (NFLV), an Inter-University Centre for French Studies, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Director of Health Services (CONMESS 15).
The Director of Health Services serves as the Chief Medical Administrator of the Health Centre and is responsible for overseeing all health services within the Village. The successful candidate will also serve as the Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Health Centre, providing strategic leadership and ensuring quality healthcare delivery to staff, students, and the Nigeria French Language Village community.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Director of Health Services shall:
- Serve as the Chief Medical Administrator of the Health Centre.
- Oversee all healthcare services within the Village Health Centre.
- Provide strategic leadership and implement policies that promote the health and well-being of the Nigeria French Language Village community.
- Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and ethical standards.
- Supervise medical registration for new staff members and students.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Director and Chief Executive Officer.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- A First Degree in Medicine from a recognized institution.
- Evidence of completion of one-year Housemanship.
- NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate.
- A minimum of 19 years post-qualification cognate experience.
- At least 3 years' experience as Deputy Director of Health Services in an institution of comparable status.
- Registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) and a current practicing licence.
- Possession of a higher degree will be an added advantage.
- Working knowledge of the French language will be an added advantage.
Salary and Conditions of Service
The appointment and salary shall be in accordance with the terms and conditions applicable in the Nigerian Federal University System.
