Southern Delta University, formerly Delta State University of Science and Technology, invites applications from qualified candidates for academic positions at its main campus in Ozoro. The university is seeking passionate educators and researchers to join the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences in the following departments:

• Human Anatomy
• Human Physiology
• Medical Laboratory Science
• Nursing Science

Available Academic Positions

Each department is recruiting for the following ranks:

• Professor
• Associate Professor
• Senior Lecturer
• Lecturer I
• Lecturer II
• Assistant Lecturer

Eligibility Criteria

1. Professor

• Ph.D. from a recognized university
• Must have served as Associate Professor
• Proven experience in teaching and research
• Extensive publication record in reputable journals
• Evidence of academic leadership and administrative contributions
• Professors from universities recognized by the Senate of Southern Delta University are also eligible

2. Associate Professor

• Ph.D. from a recognized university
• Minimum of 3 years as Senior Lecturer
• Strong teaching and research background
• Significant publication record
• Demonstrated involvement in academic and administrative activities

3. Senior Lecturer

• Ph.D. from a recognized university
• Minimum of 3 years as Lecturer I
• Solid experience in teaching and research
• Extensive publications in reputable journals
• Participation in academic and administrative duties

4. Lecturer I

• Ph.D. from a recognized university
• Minimum of 2 years as Lecturer II
• Experience in teaching and research
• Evidence of ability to publish scholarly work
• Active involvement in academic activities

5. Lecturer II

• Ph.D. or MBBS (MBChB) from a recognized university
• Experience as Assistant Lecturer
• Demonstrated interest in research

6. Assistant Lecturer

• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university
• Evidence of research interest
