Job Summary

• Aniso Specialist Medical Centre is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Optometrist for a permanent role to join our clinical team.  
• The ideal candidate should be committed to providing high-quality eye care, conducting accurate assessments and working collaboratively within a structured medical environment.
• The ideal candidate should be a dependable, thorough and professional Optometrist who is passionate about patient care and committed to contributing to a structuredand respectful medical environment.

 

Key Responsibilties

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision tests.
• Diagnose eye-related conditions and prescribe corrective lenses or medications.
• Refer patients to Ophthalmologists or other specialists when necessary.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation.
• Educate patients on eye health, preventive care and contact lens use.
• Collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Comply with all regulatory, professional and ethical standards.

 

Requirements

• Minimum Qualification: Doctor of Optometry (OD).
• Experience: At least 1 year of post-NYSC clinical experience is an advantage.
• Strong diagnostic and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and clinical accuracy.
• Respect for workplace structure and patient confidentiality.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in electronic medical records systems.
• Must reside in Benin city or be willing to relocate.
