Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Officer to support market growth and partner engagement within the Eastern Region, based in our Enugu office. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with corporate clients and healthcare providers and supporting enrolment growth across the region.

The role focuses on strengthening the organization’s presence through strategic outreach, client engagement, and effective relationship management with employers, institutions and healthcare providers. The officer will represent the organization locally and support initiatives aimed at expanding coverage and improving client satisfaction.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Eastern Region

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, institutions and healthcare providers

• Promote the organization’s health plans and services to prospective clients

• Support enrolment growth through effective marketing and client engagement activities

• Conduct presentations, meetings and outreach activities to introduce HMO services to potential clients

• Maintain regular contact with existing clients to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities for expansion

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding of new clients and enrollees

• Track business development activities, leads and conversions

• Prepare periodic reports on business development activities and market trends

• Represent the organization professionally during meetings, networking events and stakeholder engagements

 

 

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Health, Social Sciences, or a related field

• Relevant experience in healthcare or HMO business development, sales, marketing or a similar role

• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills

• Ability to identify opportunities and drive client acquisition initiatives

• Computer literate with the ability to use digital tools and reporting platforms

• Strong organizational and documentation skills

• Knowledge of the healthcare environment within the Eastern Region will be an advantage

• Candidates should reside in Enugu or be willing to relocate
