Society for Family Health (SFH) is one of the leading non-governmental public health organisations in Nigeria, implementing programmes in Reproductive Health/Family Planning, HIV & AIDS prevention and treatment, malaria prevention and treatment, primary health care system strengthening and maternal, newborn and child health care. We work in partnership with the Federal and State Governments of Nigeria, the Global Fund, United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Department for International Development (DFID), Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, MSD for Mothers and Children Investment Fund Foundation among other international donors.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Programme Advisor

Locations: Taraba and Kano

Employment Type: Full-time

Department: PROGRAMS

Job Profile

  • The Program Advisor oversees the entire service delivery component of the project through coordination, provision of technical support to the OSS and cART teams by supervising and where necessary mentoring them.
  • The incumbent will ensure that program targets are met, and HIV services are rendered to clients in accordance with donor requirements.

Job Role

The successful candidate will perform the following functions:

  • Program planning and collaborating with stakeholders by setting objectives, defining strategies and creating a roadmap for implementation.
  • Providing guidance and advice to program participants or clients on how to navigate the program effectively.
  • Assisting in the execution of the program, ensuring that it aligns with the established goals and objectives.
  • Assessing program progress and its impact on the beneficiaries continously

Qualifications / Experience

  • Must possess a First Degree or its equivalent in Medicine / Sciences / Pharmacy / Nursing or related field of study.
  • A Master's Degree in Public Health will be an advantage.
  • A minimum of 7 years post-university relevant HIV work experience inclusive of a minimum 2 years' experience with Key Population programming and implementation working with public and NGO sectors is required.
  • Experience leading a HIV treatment/care programme team is required for this role.
