Job Title: School Nurse
Location: Lekki - Epe Express Road, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Description
- Provides healthcare services to students and staff in a school setting.
- Manages health records, conducts screenings, and administers medications.
- Collaborates with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers.
Responsibilities
- Perform health assessments and screenings.
- Administer first aid and emergency care.
- Manage chronic health conditions of students.
- Provide health education to students, staff, and parents.
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records.
- Collaborate with school staff and community resources.
- Develop and implement health promotion programs.
Educational Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred with 2-6 years experience.
- Additional certifications in school nursing or related fields may be required.
Experience:
- Previous nursing experience, preferably in pediatrics.
- Experience working in a school or community health setting preferred.
Skills:
- Nursing knowledge and clinical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of child and adolescent development.
- Proficiency in computer skills and electronic health records.
Other Requirements:
- Current CPR and first aid certification.
- Adherence to state and federal health regulations.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Flexibility to work during school hours and attend occasional evening or weekend events.
