Lagos City Pharmacy, a new pharmacy opening business, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Superintendent Pharmacist

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Reporting to the Branch Manager.
  • Ensure outlets operate in line with PCN regulations regarding management of medicines including poisons and other controlled substances.
  • Receive and process prescription orders and nutritional supplements from customers while providing complete medicine information on safe medicine use, disease conditions, management, and preventive methods. or healthcare professionals.
  • Measure, count, and package medications accurately. Prepare labels for medication containers.
  • Creating awareness of the Pharmacy’s products and services in the community to:
  • Doctors, Pharmacists, and other medical personnel in hospitals/clinics,
  • Residents and other businesses
  • Ensure store profitability and drive revenue generation through sales, and creation of awareness of the Pharmacy’s products and services.
  • Supervising Store Assistants and other branch supporting staff to ensure productivity.
  • Analyzing competitors' activities and performance to safeguard and further promote our position in the market.
  • Track store’s inventory to ensure adequate product mix and expiry date checks.
  • Diligently discharging all duties according to laid down Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the Employee Code of Conduct to ensure smooth running of the Business.
  • Ensuring regulatory and ethical standards are always upheld at the Pharmacy.
  • Keep abreast of advancements in medicine by attending conferences and seminars and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
  • Comply with all applicable legal rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Perform any other duty as may be assigned to the position.

Requirements

  • Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm).
  • Candidates must have between 1-3 years post-NYSC experience.
  • Candidates must also be innovative and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Valid license to practice as a pharmacist.
  • Must be computer literate and familiar with MS Office applications.
  • Proven experience in training and development of staff to meet set goals.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to multi-task, and change priorities constantly as needed in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills:

  • Patient Care | Sales | Customer Service
  • Proven experience as a pharmacist
  • Thorough understanding of dosage administration and measurement, chemical compounds, medical brands, etc.
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office and Pharmacy information systems (eg. MediTech, Mediware, etc.)
  • Good organizing skills
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer-oriented approach
  • Integrity and compassion.
  • Degree in Pharmacy.
  • Valid license to practice the profession.

Work hours:

  • Monday to Saturday 1.00pm to 9.00 pm or
  • 10.00 am to 6.00 pm on weekdays and10.00am to 3.00 pm on Saturdays.

Salary / Other Benefits

  • N100,000 - N120,000 monthly.
  • Plus HMO.
