QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED 

1. Professor - CONUASS 7 

Candidates applying for this position are expected to possess one of the following educational qualifications in their discipline or area of specialization and with not less than three (3) years of teaching and research experience since becoming an Associate Professor in a University or comparable Institution of Higher Learning. 

(i) First degree with a minimum of Se and Class (Upper Division) and a doctorate degree in their respective fields, OR 

(ii) Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or the West African College of Physicians (FWACP) or West African College of Surgeons (FWACS) 

Candidates must also possess scholarly publications in high-impact journals, both locally and internationally, have high level experience in grantsmanship, and demonstrate ability to initiate and direct new research efforts, and provide mentorship to junior academics In addition, candidates must have high-level teaching skills, and demonstrate the ability to supervise post-graduate students, including doctorate students in areas of expertise. Furthermore, candidates must have considerable administrative experience and effective academic leadership capacity.

2. Reader CONUASS 6 

Candidates applying for this position are expected to possess one of the following educational qualifications in their discipline or area of specialization and with not less than three (3) years of teaching and research experience since becoming a Senior Lecturer in a University or comparable Institution of Higher Learning. 

(i) First degree with a minimum of Second Class (Upper Division) and a doctorate degree in their respective fields. OR

3. Senior Lecturer-CONUASS 5 

Candidates applying for this position are expected to possess a first degree with a minimum of Second Class (Upper Division) and a doctorate degree in their respective fields or Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or the West African College of Physicians (FWACP) or West African College of Surgeons (FWACS) with not less than three (3) years of teaching and research experience since becoming Lecturer I in a University or comparable Institution of Higher Learning. Candidates must possess scholarly publications in reputable journals published both locally and internationally.

Experienced individuals in professional practice outside the university system/research institutions but with a strong interest in the academics and effective teaching and research capacity, a good number of publications in high-impact national and international Journals, and possessing PhD degree with at least 10-years of post-doctoral experience or holders of Fellowship of the West African College of Physicians/Surgeons or National Postgraduate Medical College with at least 6 years professionals are also eligible to apply. Candidates must be individuals with high level commitment to growing and effectively applying their grantsmanship and academic leadership skills. Candidates must be Individuals with deep commitment to further developing high-level research, teaching and leadership skills and strong passion for grantsmanship and innovations. 

4. Lecturer 1- CONUASS 4 

Candidates applying for this position are expected to possess either: 

(i) A first degree with a minimum of Second Class (Upper Division) and a doctorate degree in their respective field from recognized Universities with at least three (3) years of teaching and research experience since becoming a Lecturer II in a University or comparable Institution of Higher Learning along with at least A publications in reputable and internationally-indexed peer reviewed journals and other verifiable outlets (of which he/she must be the first author in at least one), OR 

(ii) Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS/MBChB) or Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS/BChD) from recognized Universities, a Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or the West African College of Physicians (FWACP) or West African College of Surgeons (FWACS) in their area of specialisation. He/She also must be a registered Medical Practitioner with the Nigeria Medical and Dental Council. Possession of additional relevant qualification and/or publication(s) in peer reviewed journals will be an added advantage.

5. Lecturer II -CONUASS 3 

Candidates applying for this position must possess one of the following educational qualifications: 

(i) A good honours degree with at least Second Class (Upper Division) plus a Doctorate degree in their respective fields from recognized Universities

(ii) A degree in Medicine (MBChB, MBBS or equivalent), Dentistry (BChD, BDS or equivalent) or Veterinary Medicine with a Masters' degree with thesis in his/her field of specialization from a recognized University, or Membership of the West African College of Physicians or Pass in the Part I examination of the West African College of Surgeons or the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria.

(iii) A degree in an appropriate allied health sciences discipline any other professional health field (e.g. Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Physiotherapy and other medical rehabilitation specialties, Radiography) plus a Masters' degree with thesis in his/her field of specialization from a recognized University and with at least two published papers in a reputable and internationally-indexed journals (of which he rust be the first or second author in at least one publication).

Candidates applying for this position must not be above 40 years of age.

6. Assistant Lecturer -CONUASS 2

Candidates applying for this position are expected to possess a first degree with a minimum of Second Class (Upper Division) and second degree in their respective fields from recognized Universities. Candidates must either be registered for a Ph.D. programme or have been admitted for a Ph.D programme. Candidates applying for this position must not be above 35 years of age. 

7. Research Assistant - CONUASS 1 

A good honours degree with at least Second Class (Upper Division) from a recognized University and with some demonstrable research/practical experience or a BSc degree with at least Second Class (Lower Division) and a Master's degree with thesis and with demonstrable experience in field research or similar practical experiences in relevant field 

8. Librarian II -CONUASS 2 

Candidates applying for this positron are expected to possess a Bachelors degree with a minimum of Second Class (Upper Division) from a reputable University and a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science with eligibility for Ph.D. The candidate should also be ICT proficient.
