Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for appointment into various academic positions at Madonna University, Nigeria, Elele. Rivers State.

The positions are limited to the departments listed below:

Faculty of Health Sciences:

Department of Optometry

Professor, Reader, Senior Lecturer, Lecturer 1 and Lecturer Il

Qualifications:

PhD and MSc in Optometry (OPT)

Department of Nursing Science (NSC)

Professor, Reader, Senior Lecturer, Lecturer | and Lecturer || On the following speciality.

• Public Health Nursing
• Mental Health Nursing
• Maternal and Child Nursing
• Medical-Surgical Nursing

Qualifications:

PhD and MSc in Nursing Science

REQUIREMENTS

Applicants for the posts listed above must satisfy the following criteria as applicable.

PROFESSOR:

Candidates must possess a PhD in the appropriate discipline and 12 years of continuous teaching and research. Must have published at least 30 thirty scholarly publications in both local and international journals and should be registered with relevant professional bodies where applicable and should have sufficient experience in administration,

READER:

Must possess a PhD in the appropriate discipline with 8 years of continuous teaching and research experience in a University. Twenty-two (22) scholarly publications in local and international journals and with at least two years of experience as a Senior Lecturer, Candidates should have sufficient administrative experience.

SENIOR LECTURER:

PhD degree in the appropriate discipline with five (5) years of teaching and research experience in a University. Fifteen (15) scholarly publications with at least two years (2) years experience as a Lecturer.

LECTURER 1

PhD degree in the appropriate discipline with three (3) years of research and teaching experience in a University, plus five (5) publications, in addition to two (2) years experience as a lecturer II or a PhD holder with professional registration as applicable.  

LECTURER 11

PhD or MSc degree in the appropriate discipline and three (3) years of teaching and research experience in a University. Must have at least three (3) journal publications or at least two (2) years experience as an Assistant Lecturer plus Professional registration.

ASSISTANT LECTURER:

The candidate should possess a Master's degree in the appropriate discipline. Evidence of registration in a PhD Programme at any reputable University is an added advantage.
