A Day-Out With Sickle Cell Warriors: CareBay Physiotherapy

CareBay Physiotherapy, a platform that connects people to their physiotherapy needs through health promotion and advocacy initiatives is hosting 'A day-out with Sickle-Cell warriors'. The event is aimed at providing support to individuals living with sickle cell by providing free CONSULTATION on various musculoskeletal issues (including Avascular Necrosis).
 
Other things to expect at the event include; Health talk on Pain Management, Mobility Assessment, Exercise Prescription and Free Routine Drugs.

Venue: No 39, Ogunlana drive, Surulere Lagos
Time: 11am - 4pm
'Following my experience with treating and managing individuals living with sickle cell, am aware and know that quite a no of sickle cell warriors have musculoskeletal issues in minor and major ways. I was majorly inspired by a patient turned close friend who I managed following a hip replacement surgery secondary to Avascular Necrosis, a condition quite common in sickle cell warriors'- KemiOlawoye, Founder of CareBay Physiotherapy 
 
With this event, CareBay hopes to inspire, support and provide necessary medical assistance to sickle cell warriors thereby empowering them to be as physically mobile as they possibly can.
 
The Event is being supported by My Mobile Doc, Sickle Cell Aid Foundation(SCAF), Crimsonbow Initiative, The Warrior Story Ng, Nirvana Sickle Cell Initiative, Sickle Cell Advocacy and Management Initiative (SAMI), Toptee Physiotherapy and Haima Health.
