Abt Associates, a global leader in technical assistance, program implementation, and research, seeks qualified candidates for an upcoming USAID·funded malaria control project in Nigeria. The project will focus on malaria in pregnancy, case management. and health systems strengthening in a number of states across the country. All positions are contingent upon project award and funding, anticipated in summer of 2016. 
 
Chief of Party: 
Provides leadership, management. and strategic direction for the entire project. This position is responsible for guiding senior technical staff and for ensuring the responsiveness and quality of work along with efficient use of resources and achievement of results. The COP has the final authority within the project team for decisions related to technical, management, resource allocation and personnel issues. The COP will be accountable for the successful implementation of all aspects of the project. In carrying out these responsibilities the COP works in partnership with USAID, national, state and local govemment agencies and officials community organizations, other partners, and project staff. 
 
Qualifications:
  1. Master's degree with at least 15 years of senior-level international project management experience in designing, implementing and managing large, complex health programs in developing countries, particularly as related to malaria control.
  2. Significant experience in Nigeria and thorough knowledge of specific health priorities.
  3. Expertise in programming in malaria control programs or other relevant technical area.
  4. USAID project experience or other relevant development partner experience required.
