COLLEGE OF HEALTH SCIENCES 

1. FACULTY OF DENTISTRY

Department of Preventive and Community Dentistry 

Areas of Specialization: Periodontology

Position: Senior Lecturer - CONUASS 05                     

Lecturer – CONUASS 04 Oral medicine  

 

Candidates for the position of Senior Lecturer should possess a basic Degree in Dental surgery (B.D.S., B.Ch.D) from a reputable institution. He/she should postgraduate Medical College (FCMDS) and minimum of ten (10) Scientific publication in reputable Medical/Dental Journals within and outside Nigeria among which candidates should be first author in at least two. 

Copies of full length publication should be submitted with the application.

 

Candidates for the position of Lecturer 1 should possess basic Degree in Dental Surgery (B.D.S.B.Ch.D) from a reputable institution. He/she should be a member of the Fellowship of West African College of surgeons (FWACS) or National Postgraduate Medical College (FCMDS) specializing in Oral medicine.

 

B. FACULTY OF BASIC MEDICAL SCIENCE

Department of medical pharmacology and Therapeutics Position:

Candidates for the post of Lecture 11 must possess Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and surgery (ME\.B.Ch.B) or its equivalent); A candidate currently registered for Ph.D degree programme will have an added advantage 

 

FACULTUY OF PHARMACY

Department of Clinical Pharmacy Administration position:          

 

Areas of Specialisation: Clinical Pharmacy or Pharmacy practice

Senior Lecturer/ Lecturer 1 –CONUASS 05/04                                   

Junior Trainee fellow – CONUASS 01

                                                  

Candidates for the post of Senior Lecturer 1must possess a Ph.D in clinical pharmacy or pharmacy or pharmacy practice from a recognized university. In addition, the candidates should have at least 5 years of teaching and research experience in a university, registered with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria with a current with annual license of practice. Three should be clear evidence of ability to supervise Postgraduate students.

 

Candidates for the post of Junior Trainee fellow should have a B.sc Pharm (honours) Degree form an accredited Faculty of Pharmacy. Must be registered with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria with a current annual license to practice. Motivation to pursue postgraduate studies in Management or Clinical Pharmacy alone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Age limit for this position is thirty five (35) years. 

 

Department of pharmaceutics 

Positions: Junior Trainee Fellow -CONUASS 01

Areas of specialization: pharmaceutical Technology or Pharmaceutical Microbiology

                                                                                                                                                                                  

Candidates for the post of junior Trainee Fellow must be a Pharmacy graduate not above 30 years of age with excellent qualifications and desire for desire for postgraduate training in pharmaceutical Technology or Pharmaceutical Microbiology. Candidates are expected to have completed the National Youth Service Scheme and be fully registered with Pharmacists Council of Nigeria.

 

Department of Pharmacognosy 

Position: Junior trainee fellow – CONUASS 01 

 

Areas of Specialisation: pharmacy

                                       

Candidates for the position of Junior Trainee Fellow must be a pharmacy graduate not above 30 pharmaceutical Technology or pharmaceutical Microbiology. Candidates are expected with Pharmacists Council of Nigeria.

 

Department of pharmacognosy 

Positions: Junior trainee fellow – CONUASS 01

 

Areas of specialization: Pharmacy 

Candidate for the position of junior trainee must have B. pharm. Degree (a GPA of not less than second Class Lower Grade), NYSC Discharge Certificate, and be a Registered Pharmacist. No work experience required.

 

SENIOR NON – TEACHING POSITION

Department of Chemical pathology 

Position: Technologist 11 CONTISS 07(N1, 084,016-N1, 600,307)

Candidates applying for the position of Technologist 11 must be an Associate of the medical Laboratory science council of Nigeria (AMLS) or a suitable equivalent in chemical Pathology.

The ideal candidate should be resourceful and innovative and must have no difficulty interacting with students; either in group or individually. He/she is also expected to be a good team worker.
