QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

A fellowship of the national postgraduate medical college or equivalent, with a minimum of 10 years post fellowship experience in supervision of research projects in child health and nutrition.

- must be a professor of paediatrics with in the university system, with a minimum of ten years on the rank of professor

- evidence of supervision of research projects in child health, paediatrics and relationship with relevant organizations promoting training and research in childhealth, paediatrics and nutrition in nigeria and at international level.

- evidence of publication of a reasonable number of academic papers in paediatrics, child health and child nutrition published in recognized, peer review medical journals.

- the prospective professor must b a person with good and proven interpersonal relations that would enable the univeristy and target group to benefit from facilities available to the chair.

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE AND SALARY:

The appointment is for a professional position in the university funded by senator enhancement/ incentives

- other condiditons governing the appointment of staff in ussman danfodiyo university, sokoto shall also apply

- the appointment shall be for a period of three years in the first instance, renenwable for another term based on the chair occupants performance.
