Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Community Health Officers Training Programme for 2013/2014 Session.

The training which lasts for two calendar years will commence in September, 2013. It leads to the award of Higher Diplama in Community Health.

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

A. Basic Educational Qualification 

West African School Certificate/GCE '0' Level (WAEC) or Senior Secondary School Certificate (NECO) with five (5) credits as follows: (i) English Language (ii) Mathematics (iii) Biology or Health Science~nd any two (2) of the following subjects: one (I) from: Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Food and Nutrition and one (1) from Economics, Accounting, Government, Commerce, Agricultural Science, literature in English and Book Keeping. 

Certificates presented should be at not more than two (2) sittings.

 

B. Profe55ional Qualifications and Experience 

In addition to the qualifications above, candidates must possess any of the following professional qualifications and experience for eligibility to apply: 

i, Diploma in Community Health (DCH) with not less than two years post qualification experience (up to September, 2013). 

ii. Community Health Extension Workers (CHEW) with 5 years experience plus Abridged Certificate. Applicants must be registered and possess a valid practice license.

 

C. Written Test and Oral Interview 

Selection for admission will be based on candidates' perforrncmce at a competitive written test and oral 

interview to be conducted on Monday, 10th and Tuesday, 1 Ifh June, 201 3 respectively.
