Kano State Ministry of Health Wednesday said it has confirmed five new cases of coronavirus in the state, putting the total number of cases in the state at nine. The state governor Umaru Ganduje Tuesday said the state will go into a seven-day locked, starting from 10 pm on Thursday, to contain the spread of the disease.
“With the rising numbers of COVID 19 patients, it’s time to halt the virus in its tracks,” Ganduje said. “A 1-week complete lockdown of Kano State will begin on Thursday the 16th April by 10 pm. Please stay indoors and let us defeat this pandemic.”
