Civil Society for HIV/AIDS in Nigeria (CiSHAN) Vacancies

Background: 
The Phase II segment of the Community Systems Strengthening grant of the Global Fund to fight AIDS, TB and Malaria in Nigeria is under the oversight of Association for Reproductive and Family Health (ARFH) which is referred to as the Principal Recipient (PR). The three ATM Networks, being CiSHAN, TB Network and ACOMIN are the Sub recipient (SRs) to ARFH for the Phase II Grant. Following the remodelling of the Phase II CSS SDA for improved outcome and efficiency, State Program Officers (SPOs) will be recruited to replace the current Zonal Program Officers (ZPOs). Under this new dispensation, the SPOs will be provided with improved resources and supervision with clear targets. CiSHAN hereby seek the services of experienced and committed individuals with experience in the three disease components of AIDS, TB and Malaria to work as SPOs in supporting the activities of the networks and designated CBOs/Partners is designated states. Current ZPOs are encouraged to apply but may not reside in the current states of operation if successful. In some situations, SPOs could be required to coordinate and work with CiSHAN State Monitoring/Mentoring Officers (SMMOs) as the need arises. 
About the Job 
Each SPO will be responsible for supporting designated CBOs/Partners in a state through mentoring and technical assistance; provide effective programme management and supportive organisational development, as well as monitoring and reporting on the activities of CBOs/FBOs in their assigned state. One SPO is required in each of the following states; Edo, Ebonyi, Delta, Enugu, FCT, Nasarawa, Niger, Jigawa, Katsina, Bauchi, Gombe, Lagos and Ogun. 
Responsibilities:
The Program Officers would be responsible for: 
providing up to date information relating to current and emerging issues in TB, Malaria and HIV/AIDS  developing innovative strategies to strengthen the effectiveness and quality of service provision in Community Outreach for Demand Generation, and support for active referrals  proactively and efficiently manage the implementation of the project activities within their states of assignment 
 Participating in development, management and review of program activities of CBOs in the state of responsibility. 
Monitoring and evaluating progress of initiatives for CBOs. This will involve undertaking periodic visits to Global Fund cluster sites/facilities within the selected GF 
focal Local Government Areas and Wards in their states. 
 Achieving and maintaining an effective and efficient level of communication with their networks, other diseases and Program team in their states 
 Conducting advocacy to different stakeholders in the three diseases areas 
 Supporting the CBOs to draw up periodic work plans and budgets 
 Mentoring and Supporting CBOs staff on the development and proper use of organisational, financial and Monitoring & Evaluation systems.
