Communique Issued by the Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria, federal medical center owerri chapter following the emergency meeting of the association held on thursday 28th May 2015 on the current state of affairs at the federal medical center, Owerri.

 

The Medical and dental consultants association of Nigeria, federal medical center owerri (MDCAN, FMC Owerri) has taken a dispassionate look at the recent events at the federal medical centre owerri concerning the allegations of high handedness and financial misappropriation, amongst others, being leveled against the medical director of the institution.

 

Members of the association hereby:

1) Appeal to all the aggrieved members of staff of the federl medical center owerri to use only legitimate means in the pursuane of all their grievances.

 

2) Appeal to the management of the federal medical center owerri as a matter of expediency to address all outstanding staff welfare issues in the hospital

 

3) Call on the federal ministry of health to urgently intervene and ensure quick return to normalcy in the institution so as to alleviate the sufferings of our teeming clients
