Cross River Laments Dearth Of Health Personnel

Shortage of qualified health personnel in Cross River State is seriously hampering effective health care delivery to the people, acting Director of Ikot Offiong Ambai
 
Primary Health Care Centre in Akpabuyo area of the state, Mrs. Margaret Bassey, has said.
 
Mrs Bassey, who addressed members of United Nations Health Partners 4 (UNH4) when they visited the area yesterday, said the issue of qualified manpower should be given priority.
 
“Shortage of qualified manpower, especially nurses/midwives, community health extension workers is a big challenge here,” she said.
Leader of the team, Mrs. Bassey Duke, said the visit was aimed at assessing implementation of essential health services in the area.
