The Edo University, Iyamho, Edo State, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill in the following vacancies in the Institution.

Positions:

Professors

Associate Professors

Senior Lecturers

Location: Edo State

â– Faculty of Pharmacy

â– School of Basic Medical Sciences

• Dept of Nursing

• Dept of Physiology

• Dept of Medical Laboratory science

• Dept of Anatomy

â– Faculty of Sciences

• Dept of Biochemistry

• Dept of Microbiology

• Dept of Computer Science and Mathematics

• Dept of Chemistry

• Dept of Physics

B.Qualifications:

In all cases, candidates must possess research and teaching abilities and experience

i. Professor

• Candidates should possess a PhD degree in the discipline applied for from a recognized University with at least ten (10) years teaching and research experience in a university.

• Candidates must possess scholarly publications in both local and international journals as a proof of being specialist in core areas of departmental fields of study and membership of Professional bodies where required.

• A candidate r must also have sufficient administrative experience.

• He/she must have the ability to provide academic leadership.

• Candidate must also have been an Associate Professor in a recognized University for about three (3) years.

ii. Associate Professor

• As in (i) above, but with eight (8) years teaching and research experience in a University.

• Candidate must also have sufficient administrative experience and must have been a Senior Lecturer in a recognized University for about three (3) years.

iii. Senior Lecturer

• As in (i) above, but with five (5) years teaching and research experience in a University.

• Candidate must also have sufficient administrative experience.

• Candidate must also have been a Lecturer I in a recognized University for about three (3) years.

C. Salaries and Allowances:

• Salaries and allowances are as obtainable in Nigerian Public Universities.

• In addition a special allowance of 25% of salary is in place for Professorial Cadre in order to attract the best in the education sector.

D. Conditions of Service:

As contained in the approved conditions governing service of Senior Staff of the University.
