QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: 

PROFESSOR AND READER:Candidates must have notless than ten (10) years of teaching and Research experience in a University, He/She must possess Doctoratedegree in the Sciencesor Fellowship degrees in Medicine/Medical Science Courses.

The possession of requisite basic degrees that the registrable by different professional bodies is required for those apply to  relate Faculties and Departments. The ability to initiate and direct research . projects, the possession of reasonable administrative experience and substantial scholarly publications in reputable journals are important considerations. 

 

SENIOR LECTURER /SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW: 

Candidates must have at least (6) years of teaching and Research experience in a University, in addition to the basic and postgraduate qualifications listed above. The candidates must have a substantial publications in reputable journals, and have the ability to initiate research and to mentor junior staff and 

students. 

 

 

LECTURER/ RESEARCH FELLOW (GRADE 1&11): 

Candidates must have at least a second class (Lower Division) Honours Degree/MBBS or BchD and in addition to the basic and postgraduate qualifications listed above. He/She must have at least three (3) years' experience in teaching and Research in a University or an equivalent institution, and some Published articles in reputable Journals. Candidates with good MBBS or BchD degrees can only seek Lecturer II positions in the non- clinical Departments. They must show proof of additional scholarship and willingness to participate in research in the Departments they are applying to. 

 

ASSISTANT LECTURER/JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW:

Candidates must have at least a second class (Upper Division) Honours Degree and in addition, a Masters degree in relevant discipline. 

 

GRADUATE ASSISTANTS: 

Candidates must have graduated with Honours degree in the Sciences from a recognized University.
