The Governing Council of Federal University Lafia hereby announces that the position of Director of Medical Service of the University is vacant and so invites interested and qualified individuals to submit application as below:
The Position
The Director of Medical Service is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the Medical Centre and shall assume full responsibility for effective organization and administration of the University Medical Centre.
The Person
Candidates for the post shall be visionary and have the ability to provide good leadership, possess personal integrity and demonstrate transparency in private and public life; must be able to command respect and loyalty of the staff of the University.
Qualifications
Candidates for this post shall
i. Possess a good honours degree in medicine from a recognized institution. Possession of higher degree is an added advantage.
ii. Acceptable evidence of full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
iii. Must have a minimum of fifteen (15) years post qualification experience.
iv. The applicant should at least be a Deputy Director in a tertiary institution.
v. Be computer literate and proficient in relevant computer applications.
Salary
The salary attached to this position is CONMESS 07, Other bebefits to the holder of the office are as stipulated in the University's Conditions of Service.
