INTRODUCTION

Applications are invited for Gani Fawehinmi Annual Scholarship Award, 2019.

The award is for 30 students each of whom will receive One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (150,000.00) making a total sum of Four Million, Five Hundred Thousand Naira (4,500,000.00)

CRITERIA FOR AWARD

1. Applicants must be poor and indigent.
2. Applicants must be registered Students of Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria. i.e Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education.
3. Applicants must have good academic performance.

MODE OF APPLICATION

1. Each applicant shall submit an application letter, not more than two (2) pages. The letter must include the name of the candidate, course and year of study, state of origin and why the candidate believes that he or she should be given the award.
2. The application letter must be accompanied by:

1. A photocopy of the candidates current Identity Card
2. A letter from the candidates current Head of Department, including correct information on the candidate's CGPA for the last academic session.
3. A letter from the Registrar certifying that the candidate is a student of the institution.
4. A copy of the candidates registration form for the current semester. and
5. Two (2) current passport photographs.

The application letter, with all the supporting documents, should be forwarded (by hand or postal delivery) to:

The Deadline for submission of application is Tuesday, August 20, 2019.

INTERVIEW

i) Port Harcourt: Applicants will be interviewed on Wednesday, August 21st,2019 at ASUU Secretariat, University of Port Harcourt (Uniport) Port Harcourt at 10am.

ii) Nasarawa: Applicants will be interviewed on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2019 at ASUU Secretariat, Nasarawa State University, Nasarawa at 10am.

iii) Lagos: Applicants will be interviewed on Tuesday, September 10th, 2019 at Nigerian Law Publication House, Otunba Jobi Fele - Way, C.B.D., Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos at 10am.

AWARD CEREMONY

Successful candidates will be awarded the Scholarships on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Nigerian Law Publication House, Otunba Jobi Fele - Way, C.B.D., Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos at 12.00 Noon.

STUDENTS WHO HAVE ONCE WON THE SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT ELIGIBLE
