Gombe Tackles Measles

The Gombe State Primary Health Care Development Agency has said it is ready to tackle the challenges faced by mothers and children in accessing health facilities for immunisation.
 
It said this at a one-day media orientation for the 2019 Integrated Measles and Meningitis Mass Vaccination Campaign, held on Tuesday in Gombe State, ahead of the November 16-24 immunisation. The Deputy Director, Disease Control, Gombe Primary Health Care Development Agency, Musa Kurna, called for the support of the media to inform the Gombe populace promptly.

 He said, “In Gombe State, we have 504 facilities that are conducting routine immunisation across the 11 LGA’s. Accessing and storage of the vaccines are our main challenge. This new government has primary health care in its mind,” Kurna said.
