Health Records

Higher Health Records Technician

Qualifications & Requirements:

Candidate must possess any of the following qualifications:

Associate membership of the Association of Medical Records Technician

Associate membership of Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators

Certificate of Registration of Health Records Registration Board of Nigeria after successful completion of Higher National Diploma (HND) in Health Information & Management from a recognised Institution.

Duties:

Arranging and managing medical records

Producing and enlarged record of all social, demographic, occupational, and other medically related factors concerning the patient normal environment and past medical problems.

Assisting in the training of Junior Staff.

Salary: CONHESS 7/1

School of Health Information System:

I. Higher Health Rec. Technician

Qualifications & Requirements:

Candidate must possess any of the following qualifications:

Associate membership of the Association of Medical Records Technician

Associate membership of Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators

Microbiology

Histopathology

Chemical Pathology

Haematology

Qualifications & Requirements:

Candidate must possess any of the following qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Medical Laboratory Science (B. MLS) from a recognised Institution plus the registration of the Medical Laboratory Council of Nigeria

Associate membership of the Institute of Medical Laboratory Technologist (AIMLT) of Nigeria.

Duties:

Performing, under the supervision of Senior Officers, the following duties:

Preparing stains, reagents and simple media for cultivation of bacteria to perform cross matching, compatibility tests of blood for blood transfusion and simple serological tests.

Performing test in Chemical Pathology, Histopathology, Haematology, Parasitology and Medical Microbiology

Carrying out quantitative simple chemical analysis of food, drugs, cosmetics and medical devices

Assisting in the training and supervision of Junior Staff in the laboratory.

Salary: CONHESS 8/1
