TRAVELING SCHOLARSHIP
We are pleased to announce that the International Association for Hospice and Palliative Care (IAHPC) will provide ten (10) scholarships to support the travel of palliative care workers to attend the 14th World Congress of the European Association for Palliative Care (EAPC Onlus).
The applicants must be:
Living in Lower, Lower-Middle and Upper-Middle income categories as per the World Bank income classification data. See here.
Active members of IAHPC.
Working actively in palliative care.
Registered as web users on the EAPC website (free of charge).
Preference will be given to individuals who have not received an IAHPC or OSF grant in the past three years, with accepted poster or oral presentations at the Congress.
EAPC will give discounted registration fees to individuals from countries in the Lower and Lower-Middle categories. Winners of the scholarships will benefit from this discount. Additional information about the congress is available on the congress website at EAPC-2015 website.
Applications from physicians, nurses, psychologists and other disciplines are welcome. If you wish to apply and are not an IAHPC member, you may join by clicking here.

Applicants who submitted abstracts and whose posters are accepted, also need to send to IAHPC the confirmation of the acceptance after they receive it from EAPC.
This is an ongoing program and applications are accepted throughout the year. However, for certain events, IAHPC may set deadlines in order to be able to review and complete the process before the event starts.
This program offers funding for travel and registration only. You need to secure funding from other sources to cover additional expenses.
Applicants from all disciplines working in palliative care are welcomed. In order to apply for a traveling scholarship grant, applicants must meet the following criteria:
. Currently living in a developing country and actively working in palliative care.
. Have not received grants from IAHPC in the past 3 years
. Be current IAHPC members. Individuals who wish to join may do so, through our website.
. Preference will be given to candidates who meet the following criteria:
. Are at least 50% dedicated to palliative care in their current work
. Graduated less than 10 years ago from specialty or medical school
. Have an accepted abstract for poster / oral presentation
. Preference will be given to applications which describe long term goals and lead to improvements in any or all the following areas: service provision, education, availability and access to medicines, and public policy.
