Matron of Doka General Hospital in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Mrs Margaret David, has clarified her statement where she called on striking doctors to return to work, saying she did npt speak on behald of nurses in the state.
The Matron had on Tuesday appealed to striking doctors to return to work in the interest of the poor who cannot afford expensive health care services. She spoke when Maternal Child Health and Civil Society (MCH) Partnership in collaboration with Development Communications Network (DEVCOMS) visted the hospital.
"I only spoke based on my personal contact and experience with patients, as it is not my duty ti represent or talk on behalf of nurses on Kaduna State," she said.
