Lagos State has recorded its seventh coronavirus death as the total confirmed cases in the state hit 217. This was disclosed by the Lagos State Ministry of Health on Wednesday via its verified Twitter handle @LSMOH.
The ministry tweeted: “#COVID19Lagos Update as at 14th April, 2020. 25 new #COVID19 cases confirmed, bringing total confirmed cases in Lagos to 217. “Eight more persons — two females and six males, including one foreign national from Croatia, were discharged.
“Total discharged now 69.
“One #COVID19 death was recorded. This brings to 7, the number of #COVID19 related deaths in Lagos State. #StayAtHomeStaySafe to break the chain of transmission. Call 08000CORONA = 08000267662 for care and support on #COVID19 related issues.” Also, the Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi tweeted, “Lagos recorded another #COVID19 death; a 63 year old male, Nigerian who had no history of travel or contact with any confirmed case.”
As it stands, Lagos leads the toll of Nigeria’s COVID-19 infections with 217 of the overall 373 cases.
So far, Lagos has discharged 69 patients, while two patients have been evacuated, three patients transferred and recorded seven death.
