In the areas of: Philosophy of Medicine OR;

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE FOR ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

Candidate MUST possess a Ph.D in relevant fields; with at least eight (8) years Post-Doctoral qualification experience in teaching/research in a University. Candidate MUST have published in reputable local and international journals. There should be evidence of administrative experience and academic leadership.

 

(B) DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICAL AND HEALTH EDUCATION

Lecturer I [Health Education Unit] - CONUASS 04

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Candidate MUST possess a Ph.D in Health Education with at least three (3) years Post-Doctoral qualification experience in teaching/research in a University. Candidate MUST have reasonable scholarly publications in reputable journals.

Lecturer II (Health Education Unit) - CONUASS 03

Candidate MUST possess Ph.D in Health Education with evidence of teaching and research potential/experience. Scholarly publications will enhance the prospects of candidate.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR VACANT ACADEMIC POSITIONS IN LAGOS STATE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF MEDICINE, IKEJA

i.Professor – CONUASS 07

Candidate for the position of a Professor must demonstrate clear evidence of scholarship through considerable academic publications in the specialty and as well, have at least ten [10] years Post-Doctoral/Fellowship [National Post-Doctoral Medical College of Nigeria, West African Postgraduate Medical College and other equivalent Fellowship qualifications as applicable to the area of specialization] experience. In addition to qualifications and experience in Teaching/Research in a University, candidate should also have demonstrable capacity to participate in inter/multi-disciplinary research, ability to provide academic leadership, and reasonable administrative experience.

ii.Associate Professor - CONUASS 06

Candidate for the position of an Associate Professor must demonstrate clearly, evidence of scholarship through considerable academic publications in the specialty; and as well have at least eight [8] years Post-Doctoral qualification experience in Teaching/Research in a University. Candidate should have demonstrable capacity to participate in inter/multidisciplinary research, ability to provide academic leadership, in addition to reasonable administrative experience.  

iii.Senior Lecturer - CONUASS 05

A good Honours Degree in the area of specialty with a Higher Degree such as a Doctorate or where applicable, holders of MB.BS Degree with Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria, West African Postgraduate Medical College or equivalent qualification. Must have at least three [3] years of teaching experience as Lecturer I where applicable or Ph.D with six [6] years Post-Doctoral qualification experience in teaching/research in the University. Must have demonstrated research capability through scholarly publications in reputable journal and must possess reasonable administrative experience and demonstrate ability to provide academic leadership.

iv.Lecturer I - CONUASS 04

Candidate MUST possess a good honours degree in the area of specialty with a Higher degree such as a Doctorate Degree or where applicable, holders of MB.BS Master’s Degree or Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria, West African post-graduate Medical College or equivalent qualifications, where applicable. Candidate must have at least three [3] years experience as Lecturer II where applicable or Ph.D with three years [3] Post-Doctoral qualification experience in teaching/research in the University and must have reasonable scholarly publications.

v.LECTURER II – CONUASS 03

Candidate must possess a Ph.D in relevant field with evidence of teaching and research/potential experience.

vii.Assistant Lecturer – CONUASS 02

Candidate MUST possess a Master’s Degree in the area of specialty [with evidence of considerable teaching and research/ potential experience.
