Job Summary
• The Community Mobilization Assistant (CMA) will be based in Bade, Yobe state and report to the Public Health Promotion (PHP) Officer. The CMA will be responsible for training and identification of key community members.
• He/she will provide continuous on the job training for community volunteers regarding Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) practices, oversee the formation and selection of Fathers Care Groups (FCGs), provide support to the implementation of Food Security and Livelihood as well as nutrition activities within the community.
Task and Responsibilities
• Support the implementation of the mobilization activities at LGA level in line with the work plan to adhere the deadlines.
• To coordinate with LGA officials to share plan and implementation of the CM activities.
• To provide assistance in training, orientation to the target communities regarding the mission's project, health and hygiene, Nutrition and other mobilization activities based on project requirements.
• Provide inputs for the tools based on findings at field level to ensure technical standards, guidelines and methodologies are communicated and understood.
• Assist in engaging stake holders at LGA level.
Requirements
The successful candidate will:
• Have a minimum of HND in Health Education or related field and previous experience in Hygiene promotion and community mobilization preferably.
• Have the ability and willingness to frequently travel to villages and stay at the field.

Job Summary
• The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will be based in Dutse, Jigawa State and report to the Monitoring and Evaluation Deputy Project Manager.
• The M & E Officer will be primarily be responsible for data gathering, collation and reporting activities to ensure the quality and accountability of the programs implemented by Action Against Hunger in Northern Nigeria.
• The M&E Officer will also develop and implement clear and practical M&E plans for the program by ensuring program indicators, monitoring formats, databases, data analysis, and reporting are maintained and harmonized.
• He/she will also track the progress of key indicators and provide timely report.
Task and Responsibilities
• The task and responsibilities for this position includes but are not limited to;
• Supporting the M&E team in the pilot data collection and integration of findings by providing feedback to the M & E Deputy Project Manager.
• Reviewing and developing M & E systems for new projects, lead on the implementation of qualitative and participatory tools, including focus group discussions.
• Working closely with the team and other project team to ensure timely and quality data entry, analysis and interpretation.
• Under taking regular field visits and monitor the design and execution of surveys with other assessments. Representation of Action Against Hunger activities relating to monitoring, evaluation, accountability and reporting when required.
Requirements

• At least a Degree in Economics, International Development, Statistics, Public Health, Demography or related subject, with previous experience working in humanitarian projects.
• At least 3 years of proven experience in the Monitoring, Evaluation and Accountability of humanitarian or development programs.

• The Public Health Promotion Officer will be based in Bade, Yobe State and work under the supervision of the WASH Program Manager and will supervise Public health promotion and non-food items distribution activities such as planning beneficiary selection and registration, distribution of NFI kits, community mobilization etc following Action Against Hunger’s local strategy and international guidelines.
• The PHP Officer will support the WASH Deputy Project Manager throughout the planning, design and implementation phases of WASH technical activities.
Requirements

• Revise and adapt hygiene promotion training materials to local context and in line with target groups to be trained.
• Plan beneficiaries' selection and registration and lead the distribution of NFI kits with the Field Assistant team.
• Ensure that work meets with SPHERE minimum standards.
• Assist the WASH Deputy Program Manager with and where required participate in community mobilization.
• Prepare training tools on relevant technical topics and conduct trainings for both internal staff and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Have a Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Sociology, Rural Development or other related fields.
• Have previous experience in supervising hygiene promotion activities.
• Be professional, flexible, motivated, culturally sensitive and have good organizational capacity,
• Have a minimum of two years relevant work experience within the humanitarian sector.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office Skills (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word).

• The Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) Officer will be based in Bade, Yobe state and work under the supervision of the Area Project Manager.

• Providing technical support in planning, implementation and monitoring of key IYCF interventions by working closely with State authorities as well as the ACF State technical advisor and nutrition program manager.
• Providing technical support in the design and implementation of operational research to identify barriers and facilitators of optimal breastfeeding and complimentary feeding practices.
• Working closely with LGA TA and staff at health facilities to establish, supervise and to provide strong follow up of mother support groups to promote appropriate IYCF practices.
• Planning and providing training to health workers, community volunteers on MNCHWs and key community figures (traditional leaders, religious leaders and hair dressers and others) to promote optimal breastfeeding and complimentary feeding practices.
• Conducting joint supportive supervision and follow up on the implementation of MNCHWs.
Requirements

• The Nutrition Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) Officer will be based in Bade, Yobe state and work under the supervision of the Nutrition Deputy Project Manager.
• The IYCF Officer will be responsible for conducting rapid/detailed assessment of Infant and Young Child feeding practices in mothers/care givers at Mobile clinics.
• He/she will provide personalized IYCF counselling sessions to pregnant women for the preparation of breastfeeding and colostrum feeding and all mothers with children under 24 months.
• The Nutrition (IYCF) Officer will also ensure proper maintenance of IYCF integration with all CMAM components.
Requirements
The successful candidate will:
• Have at least a Bachelor's Degree in Health, Nutrition, Nursing or related field. Higher level Degree preferred.
• Have a minimum of 1 year working experience in humanitarian contexts, with at least 1 year in conflict/insecure contexts including CMAM, IYCF and community mobilization.
