The State Coordinator of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NAFDAC), Dadi Mulla has said  that many drug manufacturers, distributors and marketers are not following due process thereby causing harm to the populace.

He made this known when he visited the Acting Regional Coordinator of the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), Abba Adamu Bauchi.

He noted that the agency is collaborating with SON in a bid to rid the state and the country of substandard products with a view to safe guarding the lives of Nigerians.

He advised the general public to buy drugs and food from registered offices saying, “because that way, they will get a receipt, but if you buy drugs from road hawkers, you have exposed yourselves first to suspected fake, counterfeit, falsified and substandard drugs.”

The Acting Regional Coordinator , SON, Abba Adamu Bauchi said the established synergy between the two agencies would be of the benefit to Kaduna consumers.
