MEDICAL AND DENTAL COUNCIL OF NIGERIA CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CPD) 

It has come to the knowledge of Council that a number of organizations that are not accredited as CPO Providers by the Medical and Oental Council of Nigeria have been marketing their programme by claiming that they will be awarding MOCNCPO credit units. 

 

For avoidance of doubt, while the Council cannot stop any organization from providing any training activity as it desires, it is however, illegal for any organization not so accredited to attempt to award MOCN-CPO units under any guise. Copied form www.medicalworldnigeria.com

 

All medical and dental practitioners are hereby advised to always check through the list of accredited CPO providers on the MOCN website (www.mdcnigeria.org) if they wish to acquire CPO units from the training. CPO units not acquired from approved providers shall not be recognized by MDCN. This is however, not intended to discourage any practitioner from attending any training programme(with or without CPO units) that will be relevant to his/her career. 

 

Already existing CPO providers are hereby warned not to allow their organizations to be used to award CPO units for training programmes that they do not participate in organizing. Any violation of this shall be met with appropriate sanctions by 

Council.
