The State Government of Osun hereby requests for applications for employment from suitably qualified candidates both in Nigeria and the Diaspora forthe following vacant positions in its public services:

Positions:

Medical Officer, Grade Level 12 (CON MESS II),

Senior Medical Officer, Grade II, Grade Level 13 (CONMESS III);

Senior Medical Officer, Grade I, Grade Level 14 (CONMESS IV);

Principal Medical Officer, Grade II, Grade Level 15 (CONMESS V),

DUTIES:

Medical Officer, Grade level 12 (CON MESS II),

(i) Carrying out general medical duties in a Government Hospital.

(ii) Practising in an area of specialty in a Government Hospital under the supervision of a Consultant ..

Senior Medical Officer, Grade II, Grade level 13 (CONMESS III):

(i) Taking charge of a Government Hospital.

(ii) Practising in an area of specialty in a Government Hospital under the supervision of a Consultant.

Senior Medical Officer, Grade I, Grade level 14 (CONMESS IV):

Taking charge of a Government Hospital, Practising Supervising the training programmes of staff; Working in a Unit in a big Hospital, practicing in area of

speciality and offering guidance and advice to Registrars in the Unit.

Principal Medical Officer, Grade II, Grade Level 15 (CONMESS V):

(i) Taking charge of a very large Government Hospital.

(ii) Initiating the review of health policies and programmes.

(iii) Co-ordinating the training programmes of staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Medical Officer, Grade Level 12 (CONMESS II):

Candidates applying for this position should possess a degree in Medicine registrable with Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) from a

registered Institution plus at least one-year post-registration cognate experience.

Senior Medical Officer, Grade II, Grade Level 13 (CON MESS III):

Candidates seeking appointment to this position must possess the qualifications specified in Paragraph 3(a) supra and must have spent at least three (3) years afterfull registration.

Senior Medical Officer, Grade I, Grade Level 14 (CONMESS IV):

Candidates vying for this position must possess the qualifications specified in Paragraph 3(a) supra plus at least four years' post-registration cognate experience.

Principal Medical Officer, Grade II, Grade Level 15 (CONMESS V):

Candidates seeking appointment to this position must possess the qualifications specified in Paragraph 3(a) supra plus @ least seven years' postregistration cognate experience.

REMUNERATIONS:

Emoluments of successful applicants shall be settled in tandem with the modulated wages agreed with the labour unions being paid by the State Government of Osun as a corollary of the present economic realities in the country.

METHOD OF APPLICATION:
