ABUJA—All medical schools in Nigeria will from 2015 teach through simulation in regional centres across the federation.
Visiting Professor to the National Universities Commission, Professor Eugene Okpere, revealed this at a stakeholders meeting on enhancing medical education through the utilization of new technologies.
He said the meeting was to sensitize university stakeholder, seek their opinion on the adoption of the new technology in medical education.
When journalists asked about the readiness of universities in the country, he said NUC organised the meeting to sensitize provost of medical schools, vice chancellors, chief medical directors and others to get their opinion on the new technology.
He said: “The National Universities Commission has recognised that its high time we organised this stakeholders meeting to ensure that all provost of medical schools, vice chancellors are carried along on the new technology.”
