The United Nations Children's Fund has that more women now access HIV/AIDS Pervention of Mother to Child Transmission services in Anambra State.It also said it was impressed with results achieved in promoting welfare of children through the Anambra Stae Integrated Programme  The UNICEF said the state integrated programme has given more 

children access to good health, education, protection, potable water and immunisation.

Its Chief of Field Officer in Enugu Office, Mr.Charles Nzuki, made this disclosure when Governor Peter Obi of Anambra State visited on Wednesday.

Nzuki also extolled Governor Obi for the facelift and transformation of the sate education facilities and general improvement in the quality of education services delivery. 

The UNICEF chief announced that the agency world initiate more partnership with south-east states to promote friendly child learning environment. This, he said, "is possible by providing necessary logistics that would equip children to develop full potential as well as build the capacity of teachers."

Responding, Obi said his administration would sustain efforts towards attracting donor agencies intervention to fill the sate budgetary gaps.

The governor noted that UNICEF was one of the oillars of the success story of the state.

He said, "My government would continue to maintain prudent, transparent and efficient management of every support received," noting that people of the voted massively for the All Progressives Grand Alliance because the government worked for theem.

Obi explained that the state budget had remained demand-driven with massive infrastructural development in poor rural areas. 

However, he said, "The inflow of foreign investments has created more employment opportunities."
