PUBLIC NOTICE

CIRCULATION OF BANNED FORIEGN MOSQUITO COILS

NAFDAC hereby alerts the general public on the circulation of banned foreign mosquito coils containing internationally banned chemicals harmful to human health.

The dangerous imported mosquito coils such as GR, RAD, HY, WAVE TIDE contains S-2 which is a very toxic chemical that are hazardous to healthNAFDAC wishes to bring to the attention of the public that no foreign manufactured  mosquito coil is registered by the Agency and as such their quality and safety are not guaranteed.

Nigerians are advised to purchase and use only mosquito coils manufactured in Nigeria and registered by NAFDAC

All importers; Distributors and Marketers of imported foreign mosquito coils are directed to submit them to the nearest NAFDAC office for destruction or face serious sanctions
