National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria Parts 1 & 11 Fellowship Examination (March/April/May 2014)

The March/April/ May 2014 Part 1 fellowship examinations of the college will hold as follows:
TWO STAGE PART 1 FELLOWSHIP EXAMINATION
The following faculties will mount the two stage part 1 fellowship exmaination in march /april/may 2014: Anaesthesia, family medicine, internal medicine, paediatrics, pathology, public health, radiology, otorhinolaryngology and surgery
ii) The first stage of the part 1 fellowship examination in these nine faculties will hold on thursday 27th march 2014 in three centers namely:
a) ETF Halls, university of abuja, main campus, airport road, abuja fct
b) NMPMCN, km 26, lagos- badagry expressway, ijanikin, lagos
c) University of nigeria teaching hospital (new site) ituku ozalla, enugu.
THIS IS A MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTIONS TYPE OF EXAMINATION.
iii) Examination Fees: pathology N80,000 Others N60,000
iv) Candidates in these faulties are to download an updated part 1 examination form from the collegw website and choose one of the three centers namely lagos, enugu or abuja indicated on the top of the application form.
v) Candidates should clearly and correctly fill in their email addressess and telephone numbers in addition to other details required in their application forms as notification letters for eligibility to sit for first stage (MCQ) Part 1 examinations and notification of success in first state/ invitatio for other parts of the examination will be sent by email and text messages.
vi) Candidates are to print the notification letters specified in (v) above as applicable to them) and affix a passport photograph each (same as used on application form) and bring to written (MCQ) first stage exam and subsequent stage for accreditation purposes.
vii) Candidates should endeavor to check the college website weekly as any new information will be uploaded
II. PART 1 FELLOWSHIP EXAMINATION IN OTHER FACULTIES, NAMELY: DENTAL SURGERY, GENERAL DENTAL PRACTICE, OBSTETRICS & GYNAECOLOGY, OPHTHAMLMOLOGY, PSYCHIATRY AND ORTHOPAEDICS WILL HOLD IN APRIL/ MAY 2014.
All candidates in the above faculties would sit for all parts of the examination, ie written (MCQ/Essay), Clinical/ practical/ orals as applicable to them and in the usual format.
III. PART 11 FELLOWSHIP EXAMINATIONS IN ALL FACULTIES WILL HOLD IN APRIL/ MAY 2014 IN THE USUAL FORMAT

V. EXAMINATION FEES
FELLOWSHIP EXAMINATION FEES IN ALL FACULTIES ARE AS INDICATED BELOW;
a) Part 1: Fees for faulty of dental surgery is eighty thousand naira only. fees for other faculties are sixty thousand naira only
b) PART 11: Fees for all faculties are one hundred thousand naira only
c) ASSOCIATE FELLOWS'S DUES
Candidates are to ensure payment of all outstanding associate fellows dues of five thousand naira only annually with effect from 2010 on or before 31st january 2014 for all college examination holding in 2014. please note that this payment is annual irrespective of whether an examination will be taken or not. Late payment beyond this date will attract a penalty of five thousand naira annually per candidate. V1. MODE OF PAYMENT (CASHLESS)
a) full payment should be made directly into the college accounts through bank drafts, funds transfer or atm cards. Payments are allowed ONLY into the following college accounts: zenith international bank plc marina, lagos a/c no  1010437206, sort code 057150068 or guaranty trust bank plc idi araba, lagos a/c no: 0014338497, sort code 058152300. original copy of the confirmation of payment not photocopy should be attached to the form and returned to the college.
All candidates should write their names, address, faculty, amount of associate fees paid where applicable and part of the examination they intend to sit for on the bank of the confirmation of payment or print out of confirmation of online payment. Thereafter, official receipts of the college will be issued. NO CASH OR PERSONAL CHEQUES ARE ACCEPTED FOR PAYMENT TO OUR ACCOUNTS.
B) Candidates must pay into the above stated acccounts. any candidate who pays into any unauthorised account will be deemed not thave registered for the examination and will be treated accordingly.
CLOSING DATE: Completed application forms accompanied by all relevant documents should reach the registry at the college address above not later thatn friday 31st january 2014. please remember to post code your self addressed ad stamped envelopes
CAUTION TO AVOID DISQUALIFICATION

The submission of incomplete forms/documents shall lead to disqualification and college shall not enter into any correspondence with such applicants
NO CHANGE OF FACULTY OR CENTER WILL BE ALLOWED AFTER THE SUBMISSION OF APPLICAITON
ATTESTATION/ RECOMMENTDATION OF CANDIDATES
Only fellows who are in good financial standing with the college are eligible to attest to applicatio and recommend candidates for the college examinations
OTHER INFORMATION
A) ANNUAL PROGRESS REPORT
An annual progress report on registered residents/ associate fellows of the college is a mandatory requirement for the college examination. The annual progress report form should be downloaded from the college website completed and forwarded to the college registrar on or before january 31st of each year for a report on the preceding year. reports on 2013 for all residnets/ associate fellows should have been forwarded by the training institutions before 31st january 2014. A minimum of two reports on two consecutive years is a pre requisite for all parts 1 and 11 examinations as from january 2014. thusa ll registered residents/ associate fellows must have submitted their annual progress report on or before 31 st january 2014 for examinations in 2014 medicalworldnigeria.com
please note that completion and submission of this form is an annual event irrespective of whether an examination will be taken or not during the year
b) DISSERTATION/ RESEARCH PROPOSALS
For part 11 examination, candidates must submit four copies of their research proposals for formative assessments at least 15 months before application for intended examination. please note that candidates are only eligible to apply for the part 11 examinations at least 12 months after approval of the formative assessments. Each proposal loosely/ spiral bound must be accompanies with a processing fee of twenty thousand naira only.
c) OBSTETRICS AND GYNAECOLOGY PART 1 CASE BOOK
All candidates applying for part 1 obstetrics and gynecology must submit their qualifying books with an assessment fee of twenty thousand naira only at least 8 months before applicatio for intended examination closes. Only candidates with approved case books are eligible for examination.
d) EXEMPTION FROM PRIMARY EXAMINATION
All candidates applying for exemption from the primary fellowship examination must pay an exemption fee of one hundred thousand naira only. a copy of original confirmation of payment should be attached to the form and returned to the college. only candidates with equivalent qualification less than five years need apply. other requirements as on the college website.
Payments should be made directly into the college account designated for examination fees above via funds transfer/ bank dreafts/ atm cards.
XI. SPECIAL NOTICE TO ALL FELLOWS, ASSOCIATE FELLOWS AND OTHER MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS
A) The 9th ANNUAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE AND ALL FELLOWS CONGRESS OF THE COLLEGE will hold in UYO, akwa ibom state in august 2014.
