The National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) has rescinded its decision that 15 ‘illegal’ staff were not allegedly employed by the scheme.

The action, Daily Trust gathered was in response to a letter by the Ministry of Health, directing that the 15 staff recruited without due process step aside. A source at NHIS yesterday said all the affected staff including the spokesperson, Abba Zayyan has stepped aside.
The scheme has also recalled some of the staff posted out, while new postings have been made in some departments. Mr Odoh Onu is now the head of publicity department.
