Kogi Increases Funds for Midwives Training

Abuja — KOGI State, Governor, Idris Wada, has increased the budgetary provision for training of personnel and infrastructural development in all its schools of midwifery.
This is in line with the state government bid to achieve an effective health care delivery in the state.
The Governor stated this at the commissioning of the revitalised Evangelical Church of West Africa (ECWA) ultra-modern medical complex in Egbe at Yagba West local government area of the state.
He positioned that good health care delivery increaseD productivity of its people, assuring of his support to improve the health care sector in the state.
The governor also noted that quality of health care delivery has topped his administration's priority.
He commended ECWA hospital for their initiative in revitalising the infrastructure in the health institution.
Wada maintained that the provision of health care delivery in the state should not be left in the hands of government alone.
He promised his administration's commitment to improving some infrastructure in the College of Nursing and Midwifery at the ECWA hospital in Egbe.
He commended the sacrifices made by the founders of ECWA hospital and Egbe community for their support to the institution.
