Welcome Message

It's my pleasure to welcome you all to the first conference of the Nigeria Society of Physiotherapy Cardiopulmonary Specialty Group taking place in the cradle of the Yorubas, Ile-Ife.

 

 

Ile-Ife is an ancient Yoruba city in the South-Western Nigeira. Evidence of urbanization at Ile-Ife has been discovered to date back to roughly 500AD. It is located in present day Osun State, with a population of over 3.5million. Ile-Ife means the House of Expansion. The city is regarded as the origin of Yoruba culture, industry and of people of Yoruba descent. Ile-Ife is regarded as the Source of Civilization. The city is located in the Map about 40 40' East of the prime meridian or longitude and latitude 70 30' North of equator

 

The theme of this year has been carefully chosen to discuss the issue related to PREVENTION AND REHABILITATION OF CARDIORESPIRATORY DISEASES. Erudite scholars and seasoned clinicians have been invited as facilitators for the conference.
